INSPECTION OF PRESSURE VESSELS
Revisions must always be performed by a licensed technician. The review technician will always carefully check that the current state corresponds to the prescribed standards. If everything is OK, the device can still be used safely. However, if the review technician encounters deficiencies or inconsistencies, it is necessary either to stop using the device or to make proper adjustments to ensure proper and safe operation.
Equipment which has not undergone revisions threatens the safety and health of workers and expose the company to potential sanctions
Usually revisions need to be repeated after a certain period of time to ensure operational safety.
REVIZION TYPE | ČSN REGULATION | PERIOD |
---|---|---|
INITIAL REVISION | ČSN 69 0012, čl.90 | before commissioning |
FIRST OPERATING REVISION | ČSN 69 0012, čl.91 | within 14 days of putting the vessel into operation |
OPERATING REVISION | ČSN 69 0012, čl.91 | no later than 1 year after the previous review |
INTERNAL REVISIOn | ČSN 69 0012, čl.94 | is carried out within a period of no more than 5 years |
LEAK TEST | ČSN 69 0012, čl.107 | is carried out after each internal review |
PRESSURE TEST |
ČSN 69 0012, čl.117 & Reg. nr. 18/1979 Sb., |
at least once every 9 years from the previous test |
Initial revision:
It is carried out before putting into operation
- new one
- reconstructed or repaired
- which has been change in use or relocated
Operating revision:
- within 14 days after start of operation (first operational review).
- another at least 1 year due to the condition and age of the vessel, design, type, operating fluid and operating conditions..
- for LPG tanks and cooling equipment 1x every 2 years.
Internal revision:
- is carried out within a period of no more than 5 years
- before and after reconstruction, after major repairs
- before and after reconstruction or after major repairs
- if the vessel is out of operation for more than 2 years, before recommissioning
- after each vessel relocation (does not apply to mobile, portable, shipping and newly shipped containers
- in seasonal traffic before the start of each season
before changing the working fluid or deteriorating its quality - (cracks, leaks, equipment failure, risk of injury, unusual phenomena, wall deformations, max. tear, etc.)
- cooling equipment is only performed before and after the reconstruction, after major repairs if the container was shut down for exceptional reasons
Leak test:
- is carried out after each internal review
- if there is a need to determine the location and extent of leakage
- after replacing the rolled tubular tubes in the heat exchanger
- if the review technician decides or if the supervisory authority make order
Pressure test:
- at least once in 9 years from the previous pressure test unless a shorter deadline is given in the guidelines
- after each repair, modification or reconstruction
- after a break of more than 2 years, if required by internal review
- after displacement of the vessels (not applicable to portable and new vessels), if required by internal review
- after exceeding the limit parameters that could damage the walls of the container
You will need to perform the initial revision:
- project documentation of the revised equipment
- assembly diary
- reports on other revisions made to related facilities
You will need to perform an operational revision, internal revision, or pressure test:
- the initial revision report
- report on the latest operational review, internal review, pressure test
- report on other revisions made to related facilities
- pasport of device
